Archos Pocket Dish

The Archos Pocket Dish is a portable media recorder/player. I have the AV500E model and think it is the perfect size. It fits in my camera case, a purse or even a large pocket of a coat.

I take it in the car so my son can watch movies or listen to mp3s while we are driving. It's easier than a portable dvd player because the movies are already on it, no need to drag along the dvds, which by the way get left in the car or broken. I can either listen to it right a long with him or plug in the head phones so I can get some quiet time. I even took this with me on the plane to Hawaii so I could watch a movie or my choice instead of the really awful stuff they were playing before the movie started.

I have created playlists according to my activities just like any other mp3 player. I have one for working out, one for keeping me awake in the afternoon after a big lunch & one for a long drive when the radio gets no reception.

It also is a permanent fixture in my laptop case. I take it to work so I can listen to audio books while I work. It's easy to pause when I have to take a call & start again right were I left off.

The only thing that would be more perfect is if my digital camera was compatible so I could put all my pictures on it while on a trip so I can free up the cards. The Archos has that ability. Since it fits right in the camera case it would be a great asset for me. Note to self. Next camera has to be compatible with Archos. Now I have uploaded pictures to it from my computer & that worked out just fine.

The only down side to this is it is not really user friendly. Until you get used to it the instruction manual is your best friend. The up side to it not being user friendly is my son won't take the time to mess with it & mess up anything. He always asks first.

I have so much more to try with it yet but so far... I love it & recommend it.

Mossimo Clothing

Mossimo shirts are very stylish & very comfortable.

I like the fact that they can be worn by the younger generation without trying to look older but yet the over 30 crowd without looking like a teenager. They are very versatile from work to play. They also keep the generation gap closed where fashion is concerned. Being well over 30 I don't want to wear my grandmother's clothes but I don't want to dress like my son's 21 year old girlfriend either. It can be very hard to find clothing that works for all ages.

They are great quality shirts at reasonable prices. The ones I have purchased have with stood many washings without stretching or fading. They still offer the same basic styles from year to year with some new & exciting ones added to the collection. This is a great idea. Most people I know don't like to buy a new wardrobe every year. Since the quality is so good they last longer than 1 year so all I have to do is add a few things here & there for a new look each year. Quality, price & style keeps me coming back to buy more Mossimo clothing.

EMachine Laptop

I take my laptop everywhere with me and absolutely love it. This has been the best laptop I have ever owned. I bought it for personal use 3 years ago. I started using it as a business computer I am realizing in needs upgraded.

My trusty laptop plays movies & music for me anywhere I go. I can even watch tv on it. It goes to the kitchen with me because it holds all of my recipes. It keeps me organized day to day.

Having a laptop allows me to work in front of the fireplace on those cold winter days or on the deck on those beautiful summer days.

Looking at all the new computers out there I just can't decide what is going to be the best for me. I'm scared to let go of my trusty E Machine. The techs tell me I could never upgrade it to do video editing which I would really like to do. Their recommendation is to buy a desk top computer. I don't have room for a desk top computer in my home. I will be on the search for the ultimate computer for me, my family & my business. I'll keep you posted when I find the computer or computers that will allow me to do what I need to do.
